Project: H&M (Fashion & Retail)

Challenge:

H&M wanted to enhance their online and in-store shopping experience by enabling customers to virtually try on clothes with accurate sizing and a realistic fit. Traditional size guides often led to wrong purchases, high return rates (up to 30-40% in the industry), and customer frustration due to inconsistent sizing.

Solution:

We collaborated with 3DLOOK to create a hyper-realistic digital mirror that lets users:

Scan their body & face to generate an accurate 3D avatar

Try on H&M outfits digitally with realistic clothing simulation powered by CLO

Use AR to see the outfit in real-world environments

Our role was to generate high-quality AI-powered avatar heads, ensuring customers saw themselves—not just a generic mannequin.

Results:

Reduced size-related returns by an estimated 25%, improving sustainability & reducing costs

Increased online conversion rates by ~15% as customers gained confidence in fit

Shortened the in-store fitting process, saving customers 5-10 minutes per visit

Enhanced customer engagement, increasing session time on digital platforms

By integrating AI-driven avatars and realistic digital try-ons, H&M created a seamless, interactive, and personalized shopping experience, positioning themselves at the forefront of fashion retail innovation.
